About Paolo Scardina

Principal Designer | NCIDQ, LEED AP

With nearly 40 years of experience and over 700 completed projects, Paolo Scardina brings a unique, holistic approach to residential architecture and interior design. He believes that exceptional residential design is a harmonious blend of art and science, meticulously crafted to enhance the quality of life for its occupants. By seamlessly integrating building architecture with interior design, Paolo creates homes that are as highly functional as they are aesthetically breathtaking.

A skilled listener and project manager, Paolo guides clients through every phase of the design process—from spatial flow and material selection to crucial construction cost coaching. His advanced proficiency in 3D modeling allows clients to step inside their stunning, inspiring designs long before construction begins.

Prior to establishing his own practice in 1990, Paolo served as the Director of Projects for Ostgren Associates in San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from the Western Design Institute, a Master of Fine Arts from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hiram College. He is a certified professional interior designer (NCIDQ), a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and a past president of the Oregon Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
